How Epic Universe Changed Which Orlando Communities Perform
Universal's new park did not just add attendance — it changed the shape of the Orlando trip. Longer stays, bigger groups, and two resort gateways that matter instead of one. Here is what that means for your community and your home.
Epic Universe opened in May 2025, and the easy read was more attendance. The important read is different: it turned Universal from a one-or-two-day stop into a multi-day destination in its own right. A family now plans Disney days and Universal days in the same trip.
That pushes trips longer — five to seven nights instead of three or four — and longer trips travel heavier: more people, more generations, more need for a house instead of two hotel rooms. It also lifted per-guest spending, which tells you these are committed vacations, not impulse weekends.
Longer stays from bigger groups is precisely the guest a large, well-designed vacation home is built for. The market moved toward our product.
